is dedicated to ending racism and promoting racial equality for all members of our community through direct action, community education, community engagement, and advocacy. WARE was founded in 1985 in Wayne County, NY and continues to focus its attention on Wayne County while networking with organizations beyond the county.

At the February meeting, WARE members were apprised of an attempt in the Sodus School District to ban a novel by Toni Morrison, The Bluest Eye. This was unanimously defeated by the BOE.
