June 2022 Additions to the Newark Library W.A.R.E. Collection

The W.A.R.E. Collection is an ever-growing resource of books and media managed by the Newark Public Library in partnership with W.A.R.E. A variety of titles are available to library patrons across Wayne County and throughout the surrounding region.

Four new titles have been added during the past month, including Prisca Dorcas Mojica Rodriguez's For Brown Girls With Sharp Edges and Soft Hearts, Who's Black and Why?, a collection of 18th century essays that help explain the origins of racism and colorism in the West, The Matter of Black Lives, a collection of various works that examine the United States' relationship with race, and Keisha M. Blain's Until I Am Free, which highlights the words, actions, and ideas of activist Fannie Lou Hamer.
