WARE was founded in 1985 in Wayne County, NY and continues to focus its attention on Wayne County while networking with organizations beyond the county.
You are invited to the dedication of a historical mural to commemorate the historical significance of Samuel Ward, the first African-American minister in Wayne County and Antoinette Brown, the first ordained female minister in the United States. Both served the Congregational Church in South Butler in the 1800’s.
